Desexing

De-sexing is a common surgical procedure routinely performed at Bondi Vets.

Dogs

De-sexing of the male dog is known by several different names, including castration, neutering or the more co rrect scientific term of orchiectomy. For a female dog de-sexing is also known as spaying or the correct scientific term of ovariohysterectomy.

Cats

Desexing of the male cat is known as castration, neutering or the more correct scientific term of orchiectomy. Desexing of the female cat, or queen, is also known as spaying or the correct scientific term of ovariohysterectomy.
